Reading your electricity bill may seem complicated at first, but it is simpler than it sounds. First, you will find your personal and contact details, as well as the address of the electricity supply.
Next, you will see a summary of the consumption for the billing period, usually in kilowatt hours (kWh). Next, you will find the details of the charges, which include the power term, energy consumption and other additional costs. Finally, the bill shows the total amount due, including taxes.
***It includes a 5% VAT (the IGIC would be % in the Canary Islands) and a .5% electricity tax (with a minimum of €1/MWh). If you have a power greater than 10 kW and/or the price of electricity in the wholesale market is less than €45/MWh, the VAT is 21% (and the IGIC is 3% in the Canary Islands). The indicated prices will have the regulated cost associated with the financing mechanism for the social bonus added, which is €.038455 per day. The prices mentioned above do not include the amount corresponding to the Gas Adjustment Mechanism (RDL 10/2022) in our rates effective from September. Despite the recent increase in gas prices and market volatility, we continue to work to offer all our customers fair prices with a long-term commitment.
