Electricity consumption is calculated based on the kilowatt hours (kWh) you have used during the billing period. This information is obtained from the electric meter, which records how much electricity you consume.
On your bill, you will see the consumption reflected as a multiplication of the total kWh by the price of each kWh. If you have a tariff with hourly discrimination, you will see the consumption divided by time slots, each with its corresponding price.
***It includes a 5% VAT (the IGIC would be % in the Canary Islands) and a .5% electricity tax (with a minimum of €1/MWh). If you have a power greater than 10 kW and/or the price of electricity in the wholesale market is less than €45/MWh, the VAT is 21% (and the IGIC is 3% in the Canary Islands). The indicated prices will have the regulated cost associated with the financing mechanism for the social bonus added, which is €.038455 per day. The prices mentioned above do not include the amount corresponding to the Gas Adjustment Mechanism (RDL 10/2022) in our rates effective from September. Despite the recent increase in gas prices and market volatility, we continue to work to offer all our customers fair prices with a long-term commitment.
